Book/Comic/Webcomic/Webnovel ratings
My scale -> 0-2 I hated it, 3-5 it wasn’t great but may have been fun in the moment, 6-7 good or maybe even great but not my favorite, 8-9, very good book would recommend, 10 unattainable perfection.
- Dune -> 9.5/10, confusing at points but very good if you stick with it.
- Percy Jackson & the Olympians -> 8.5/10, 9.5/10 if you are in the intended age range, one of my favorite childhood book series.
- Heroes of Olympus -> 7.5/10, still good but not nearly as good as the originals.
- Kane Chronicals -> 8/10, almost as good as Percy Jackson series.
- Magnus Chase -> 8/10, almost as good as Percy Jackson series.
- Trials of Apollo -> 6/10, maybe good if you’re a kid and have just read Percy Jackson but imo not great.
- 39 Clues -> 7/10, very fun as a kid though (and interesting concept with different authors!).
- Babel -> 9/10, not without flaws but very good fantasy, made me entirely rethink concept of translation (also just super fun to read).
- Throne of Glass -> 8/10, kind of problematic but also super fun to read/all the right tropes.
- Little Brother -> 7.5/10, pretty good, very relevant especially now but not extraordinary by any means.
- The Watchmen -> 9/10, best graphic novel I’ve ever read, one of the best books I’ve ever read, a little trippy at the end though.
- Alexander Hamilton (Ron Chernow) -> 7.5/10, very interesting but so so long and probably not engaging enough if you’re not a huge history or Hamilton nerd.
- Midsummer Night’s Dream -> 4/10, probably good if you like Shakespeare but I’m not fan, but the portrayal of fae is cool.
- Hamlet -> 4/10, Also long and boring but even longer! Lots of cool adaptations though.
- King Richard III -> 6/10, very cool although I still didn’t find it to be super engaging, by far the best adaptations I think though. Also my favorite like storyline across plays of Shakespeare’s.
- Macbeth -> 6.5/10, probably the most popular of Shakespeare’s plays and imo for good reason, was the most engaging of the ones I’ve read.
- I Am Malala -> 6.5/10, kind of ruined by being forced to read it but was still a good book!
- Graveyard Book -> 7.5/10, very fun but I think better as a kid, used to be one of my favorites.
- Anansi Boys -> 6.5/10, I remember liking it but I don’t know if I fully appreciated it as a kid, I should reread.
- The Martian -> 8/10, very good book almost made me want to work for NASA too bad the movie isn’t great.
- A Prayer for Owen Meany -> 7/10, but very subjective as I don’t really remember the book, just that it was enjoyable and had good meaning.
- Giver Quartet -> 8.5/10, very very good, but probably would only be a 7/10 if you only read the first book.
- The Silent Patient -> 8.5/10, very good book made me rethink my entire experience reading it and thinking about reading it.
- Ready Player One -> 9/10, one of my favorite stand-alone books (just ignore the sequel, I haven’t read it yet but I have it but have heard so many bad things I’m scared to).
- Childhood’s End -> 6/10, don’t remember reading it but I remember liking it, although I read it on the beach so that’s biased.
- Refraction -> 6/10, I did read the unfinished/unreleased version and it wasn’t perfect but pretty cool concept.
- Mindhunter -> 8.5/10, definitely dependent on you being interested in true crime/FBI though.
- Then She Was Gone -> 9/10, definitely messed with my head a lot but also super great book.
- Machiavelli -> 5/10, books aren’t exactly readable/engaging but the concepts are interesting and honestly everyone that thinks of him as evil/totalitarian should read literally anything he wrote other than the Prince.
- Death Note -> 7.5/10, great manga but a little goofy at times.
- Man in the High Castle -> 4/10, honestly what was this guy thinking the book feels so unfinished like sure cool concept but idk why it won so many awards.
- A Flicker in the Dark -> 7.5/10, maybe not a perfect thriller but legitimately could never tell what the ending was going to be.

- Assassination Classroom -> 8.5/10, ending made me cry omg it was amazing.
- Demon Slayer -> 8/10, really good but fight scenes would probably be cooler animated.
- Dr. Stone -> 7.5/10, very good, felt very science-y reading it.
- Food Wars! -> 7/10, very good and not as explicit/disturbing as the show seems to be, although I haven’t watched the show, but I will admit wasn’t always comfortable reading it in public.
- Just Listen to the Song -> 5/10, not memorable but it made me cry so clearly impactful.
- The Promised Neverland -> 8.5/10, very good made me cry a lot at the end although there are some slow points in the middle.
- Tokyo Ghoul + Tokyo Ghoul: re -> 9.5/10, very manga I’ve ever read, made me cry and rethink like society as a whole and how it functions.
